Air Fried Burger Tips
How long does it take to cook burgers in an air fryer?
Okay, so this varies depending on the size and thickness of you beef burger patties. Aim to cook them for around 10-12 minutes, flipping half way and then check if they’re done to your liking and heated through properly.
Thicker, larger patties will take longer, and thinner burgers less time. Add additional cooking time for frozen burgers too.
Can you cook raw burgers in the air fryer?
Yes, raw, fresh, homemade or frozen can all be cooked in the air fryer. And air frying makes them super juicy! So it’s a great way to cook a burger.
Can you put tin foil in an air fryer?
We cook in tin foil in the air fryer all the time. And if cooking something greasy like a cheeseburger, then I do line the basket underneath the grill with a sheet of tin foil so that it’s easier to clean up.
Should you flip burgers in an air fryer?
We flip them half way through cooking, just to be sure they cook evenly. Plus if you have an air fryer with the ridged grill, flipping them will just make sure you get charred lines on each side of the burger.
What temperature should burgers be when cooked?
Beef burgers should always be thoroughly cooked all the way through, reaching a temperature of72⁰C for 2 minutes or equivalent in the middle of the burger. The easiest way to test this is with a food thermometer.
