Albuquerque Craigslist Add - Red Flags

As I am sure some of our members do, I checked the Porsche listings on my local Craigslist (Albuquerque) listings today. Up popped at 1962 B T6. Pictures do not match the language of the add. Add stated this is a #2 or #1 car for only $33k. Pictures show a cab and add says coupe. At that price, who cares! Can't go wrong, right? Being curious, I sent a text message to the phone listed asking where the car is located. No response. Surprise?

These phony ads are everywhere now. There are two on CL now in various NE states. I regularly inquire with specific questions and never get a response. I will say however that the quality of their ads has increased, but still an obvious scam.
If you see a bogus ad on CL, inquire and report!

Follow up to my prior post about a 1962 B S90 listed on Albuquerque CL for $33K. I sent a text asking where the car was located. Just received a response today. Seller is Lamont; car is at Havelock Motors in Lincoln, NE; Lamont's phone is 785-318-7347; now listed for $32.5K. I could not find a Havelock Motors in Lincoln. NE. I am not going to respond to Lamont but this still appears as a scam to me.

What appears to be the same ad. showed up in Boston last weekend. The listing says it is a coupe but the picture shows a white B T-6 Cab. and the price was at or near $33K.
Soon to playing in an ad. near you.

It also offers the very rare disappearing hard top. Clearly the asking price is a bargain.
